If you have a County Court Judgement and your total unsecured debts
amount to less than £5,000, a County Court Administration
Order offers a simple way of paying your debts in affordable instalments.
To benefit from this you need to have a regular income out of which
you can make the payments to the Court.
The procedure is as follows:-
Obtain the appropriate forms, N92-N270 from your local county
court or on-line at www.courtservice.gov.uk
Complete the details of your monthly income and outgoings.
The Court decides how much you can afford to pay every month.
The order will then be granted.
The order is legally binding and gives you protection
from your creditors. They will no longer be allowed to approach
you for payments or take further action against you provided that
you make the monthly payments to the court. Note that you do not
pay your creditors directly but that the court collects the payments
and deducts its costs before paying the balance to your creditors.
